Mulberry soaks up the atmosphere at Le Manoir Aux Quat’ Saison in aid of Sue Ryder Care – Nettlebed Hospice

It was a beautiful sunny afternoon when a team from Mulberry Ground Maintenance, the landscape care and maintenance specialists, enjoyed a birds eye view of the beautiful gardens at Raymond Blanc’s (OBS), Le Manoir Aux Quat’ Saisons.  This stunning manor house at Great Milton, near Oxford, is a globally renowned restaurant and boasts an impressive two acre organic vegetable and herb garden.

Mulberry has previously carried out some work on the estate, involving trimming all the yew hedges and decided it would be a good idea to incorporate a tour of the grounds with some fundraising for their chosen charity of the year, Sue Ryder Care – Nettlebed Hospice.

To help raise funds for Sue Ryder Care – Nettlebed Hospice, they decided to make donation in lieu of payment for the tour.

Le Manoir aux Quat Saisons is home to over 90 types of organic vegetables and 70 types of organic herbs. The vegetables range from European and Oriental leaf crops through to aubergines and peppers.

Lynn Rees, one of Mulberry’s two Directors said, ‘Le Manoir is rightly known throughout the world for the high quality of its food.  The gardens were also synonymous with this high standard. We were all inspired and I am pleased that we were also able to donate to our chosen Charity too.’

As they walked through the Japanese Tea Garden and an English Water Garden (developed by monks in the 16th Century), the team were overwhelmed by its tranquility and beauty.

Geraldine Harmon of Sue Ryder Care – Nettlebed Hospice comments ‘as you drive in to the site, you are faced with a magnificent sculptured artichoke which stands proudly in its vibrant deep purple colour.  Its stunning.  I was delighted to be invited to take the tour with Mulberry. They are a tremendously inspiring company and it’s a pleasure to work with them over the coming year.’
